Amanda Roberge, Owner
Head Barre Instructor, Head Dance Instructor
Amanda Roberge is the owner and head instructor of Above the Barre Dance & Fitness. A lifelong dancer, Amanda fell in love with barre and teaching fitness while teaching at a local barre studio after college. Despite having gone to school for finance, Amanda realized that her true passion lied in fitness and dance and she decided to open a studio that fully encompassed both of these passions. Amanda's dance background consists of ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, modern, ballroom, and more. Amanda also spent many years as a gymnast, which has contributed to a strong tumbling background. In addition to teaching dance and fitness, Amanda is also a certified Zumbini instructor.
When developing the idea for Above the Barre, Amanda knew she wanted to create a studio that provided a convenient schedule for parents and their children. Amanda hopes that anyone who walks through the doors at Above the Barre feels welcome and comfortable. She wants every client to feel valued as a member of the Above the Barre family!
In her free time, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family. Amanda currently lives in Haverhill with her husband, Ben, and adorable puppy Quincy.

Christine Neel Dumont
Christine began dancing at the age of two, and her love of fitness and an active lifestyle has been present from a young age. Truth be told, she can never sit still! Christine took her first barre class in 2012 and was hooked. Her favorite styles of workouts include barre (of course), hot yoga, cross training with weights, and (sometimes) cardio.
Christine wants her clients to feel inspired, empowered, and ready to conquer the day when they leave one of her classes. She aims to bring a positive vibe to each class, and wants her clients to feel comfortable and strong as they sweat with her!
A 2014 graduate of Merrimack College, Christine is currently a full time graduate student at Boston College in the Lynch School of Education and is excited to return to teaching in the fall. She lives in North Andover with her husband Rene and their sweet beagle April, and is always planning their next travel adventure!
Krista started taking barre in the summer of 2015 and has been addicted ever since! She fell in love with how quickly barre toned her muscles; improved her strength; and changed her overall posture. The music, the energy and camaraderie in class added to her passion for barre.
Krista wants to bring encouragement, fun challenges, and humor to every class. She knows everyone has their own unique goal, level, and ability and she wants everyone to feel powerful and confident in their own skin.
Krista works part time at a market research firm in Andover and lives in Salem with her husband Rob and daughter Vivienne. When not at barre, Krista is binge-watching Bravo, taking selfies with her dog Layla or enjoying a night out with her family.
